Melhor IDE para ARM

A IDE mais sóbria é o IAR.
Eu gosto, pois o Eclipse por exemplo, tem muitas coisas e fica difícil arrumá-las no lugar.

Cara... Tentei usar o Visual Studio para ATSAM4... É tão ruim que apelidei de VírusStúdio. E foi horrível apagar todos os rastros dele do computador... Só formatando.

Também sou fão do IAR + Jlink.

tbm num gostei, o VS em si é excelente, mas essas integrações que não são feitas pela própria MS, são geralmente, horríveis.

Procurei pela notícia no forum e não encontrei, para não criar um novo tópico vou publicar aqui.
Hoje eu estava baixando o CubeMX quando vi um anúncio no site da ST avisando que ela comprou a Atollic e que o TrueStudio vai ser incoroporado ao "eco sistema" do STM32:

Atollic TrueSTUDIO for STM32 v9.0.0 is available!

If you missed this big news, STMicroelectronics acquired Atollic back in December 2017. Here is the press release, blog article and FAQ-document. The Atollic team, now as part of STMicroelectronics, is commited to continue providing excellent development tools to its huge user base of STM32 developers. TrueSTUDIO for STM32 v9.0.0 will only support STM32. With the acquisition of Atollic STMicroelectronics increases its software tool development team with the goal to provide better development tools and a better integrated ecosystem for STM32. More tool related news will follow during 2018!
Pro features are now free
This acqusition is great news for all STM32-developers. STMicroelectronics wants to provide top-grade development tools at no charge to all STM32 developers. So now, with v9.0.0, Pro features are enabled for use with all STM32 devices. No license needed! Now you can take full advantage of the powerful debug features in the TrueSTUDIO debugger (using ST-Link or SEGGER J-Link). Among the most popular features are SWO tracing, fault analysis, FreeRTOS kernel-aware debugging and build/static stack analysis.
License system has been removed
Perhaps we are more happy than you are about the removal of the license system. This enables the development team to focus on feature development that actually matters to STM32 customers and not on license issues. For STM32 users this means that no license is need to run this version of TrueSTUDIO. The TrueSTUDIO installer becomes smaller, startup is slightly faster, and all Pro features are unlocked by default. No more work for your IT department to administer and maintain licenses and license servers.
New build tools menu
The main focus of this release was to move from the commercial TrueSTUDIO for Arm product to a free TrueSTUDIO for STM32. This involved a lot of refactoring along with the regular maintenace work to keep the STM32 target support up-to-date. With this focus there was little time to introduce new features. However, one new feature is the build tools menu which allows the TrueSTUDIO user to do two things:
Disassemble object files and binaries and view them in the editor
List symbols in binaries / object files
